Automate PSD templates with more than one artwork slot
Apparel, packaging, mugs, books, and product sets often contain several smartobjects. A shirt may have front and back placements. Packaging may have a label, lid, and side panel. Multiple-smartobject mode counts the available targets and assigns artwork in a consistent sequence.
Use stacking order for consecutive artwork files
For a folder-based workflow, smartobject stacking order can determine which artwork enters each slot. Keep template structure consistent across a collection, and keep artwork files ordered in the sequence the job expects.
If a template contains fewer or more targets than expected, a small validation run is the safest way to catch leftovers before producing a full collection.
Use named mappings for row-specific content
CSV mode is better when front, back, label, or text content must be chosen independently for each output. Column names map to layer names, so one row can combine several images and text values with a selected PSD template.
Apply multi-slot workflows to real products
Common examples include front-and-back shirts, multi-panel packaging, matching product bundles, wraparound mugs, and scenes that show more than one print area. The panel does not change how the PSD is designed. It repeats the content replacement and export rules you configure.
